Laravel Overview and Installation: Step by Step Complete Guide to Building Laravel Application
Laravel is an open source PHP framework which is very easy to learn and understand. Laravel is very useful features for web development.
As we discussed in our previous tutorial if you have basic knowledge of Core PHP then it’s easy to Learn Laravel for you.
So, first of all, you need a composer. A composer is a tool which includes all the dependencies and libraries. It allows a user to create a project with respect to the mentioned framework (for example, those used in Laravel installation).

Its necessary to install composer in your local system. All the dependencies are listed in your Laravel project’s composer.json file.
Second, you required Xampp or Wamp server with the latest version of PHP.
After installing the composer verify that composer is installed successfully. To verify Composer installation one CMD (windows + R and type CMD).
Than type Composer command and press enter. If you get output something as follows then your composer is installed successfully.
This means your composer is installed successfully. Now we ready to start our first Laravel project.
Now move to your htdocs folder inside the Xampp using cmd. My Xampp is installed in D: Drive. So my CMD iis looked like.
now I am in the htdocs folder. Now type following command in CMD.
composer create-project laravel/laravel ProjectName
Understanding this command :
Now what we do is, We told composer to create a project by typing “Create-Project” but we need the project in Laravel so we define command “Laravel/Laravel” so composer installs Laravel project inside our project folder. The final is our Project name.
After Successfully installation done, your project folder looks like follow.
